11 Lessons Learned in 11 years
Today marks the 11th year of Curzon. We were founded in 2009 – before Uber, Instagram, Alexa, and Zoom. Over the years, we have partnered with inspiring clients around the world, worked with exceptional and diverse talent, set up working hubs in London, New York and Dubai – and then went virtual, won multiple awards, and survived to tell the tale.
Here are the 11 lessons we have learnt in the 11-year journey that guide us into the future.
- Kindness is at the heart of our business strategy. We may be a Public Relations firm, but ultimately we are in the business of people. We aspire to be kind to ourselves and to others. We value flexible working, work-life balance, and mental health and wellbeing.
- Diversity is our strength. As globalisation accelerates, so does the need for the global narrative to be shaped by a multitude of voices to bring unified understanding and cooperation. We are a diverse team based across continents working together to help our clients communicate with impact across borders by using the power of communication.
- We embrace technology as a force for good and positive change to embrace agile thinking, cloud-enabled remote working, and the growing gig economy with diverse teams working across cultures. We embrace innovative digital technologies as they continue to disrupt industries to be early adopters at the forefront of paradigm shifts.
- We work to find mutually beneficial relationships where everyone wins. We balance the needs of the clients, the consultants, and the company for long-term success and sustainability.
- We have a growth mindset – we believe we can all grow and develop our talents and skills. We invest in our learning. Curiosity remains a key value for our team as we believe in the importance of following our enthusiasm in life. Curiosity keeps us moving forward.
- We are storytellers at heart. We believe that stories have the power to transform and change the world for the better. A better world starts with better communications.
- We treat our clients as we would wish to be treated. We are in the business of relationships and trust is the ultimate currency.
