Ishara Callan
Ishara Bhasi Callan is an experienced media relations and communications director. She is an emerging markets expert and specialises in international trade, international development, NGO’s and corporate communications. Ishara is also responsible for shaping and driving communications strategy for Curzon PR’s clients, especially in manufacturing and technology sector.
She has a proven track record of running successful media campaigns for multilateral organisations and companies including the UNECA, British Asian Trust, Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition, UKIBC and the Commonwealth Business Council. She also ran the communications campaign for the Opposition Party in Comoros, Juwa Party to raise their concerns in the international media.
She is in daily contact with and has close links to UK, European, Asian and African media. She has got outstanding coverage in leading international media including the FT, Forbes, The Times, Guardian, Independent, CNN, Le Monde, RFI, BBC, SKY, Bloomberg, and CNBC. She also published reports at the CBC and was the editor for UKIBC’s corporate magazine. She is editor for WHFTalks – a news magazine for the development sector.
Ishara has a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing and is a member of the Foreign Press Association, UK.
