Deep Kailey

Higher Calling
The Fashion Director of Tatler, Deep Kailey, has worked on a variety of high-end fashion publications over the last decade. She began her career at Dazed & Confused magazine and has since created directional fashion stories with numerous publications including i-D and Vogue India, where she was Fashion Editor for four and a half years. Her three greatest passions in life are meditation, horse-riding and her job.

Mayfair Haunts
Deep’s job involves frequent breakfast and lunch meetings which means regular visits to Cecconi’s and The Wolseley, though she does have a soft spot for Claridges; in her own words, ‘nothing can go wrong in Claridges, there is such a great feeling there.’ Her favourite shopping haunts are Dover Street market and Céline, where she regularly stocks up on her iconic shirts. Ultimately though, for Deep the best thing about Mayfair is the architecture ‘I love walking around the back streets. I think a lot of people spend their time looking down when they should be looking up – the architecture in London is phenomenal.’
Deep Kailey, was shot on the terrace of the Dome Suite, overlooking the imposing curving architecture of Regent’s Street. She wore a jacket by VB, Victoria Beckham, Celine shirt, Acne jeans and Prada shoes.

Divia Cadbury

Divia Cadbury
Higher Calling Divia is co-founder of Zuma and pageonelondon, a members-only digital restaurant guide. The website gives recommendations on the top one hundred restaurants in London at any given time and also offers a consultancy service that conceptualises restaurants and menus. Family and yoga are two of the most important focuses in Divia’s life; she practises yoga regularly and her three children are also in the process of becoming yogis.

Mayfair Haunts
Divia frequents numerous restaurants around London, though she loves the selection offered by Mayfair. Some of her favourite spots include Ikeda for the best tempura in London, Nobu Park Lane for lunch with her children, Kai for the best wasabi prawns, Bentley’s for oysters on the terrace in the summer sunshine, and Yoshino for delicious Japanese cuisine. Beyond food, Divia’s shopping haunts include South Molton Street and Selfridges, with the third floor being a particular favourite. When it comes to the calmer, greener side of London, Divia loves to wander St James’s Park and she describes the Tiffany Fountain as ‘beautiful, if you haven’t seen it – you must’.
Divia Cadbury’s shoot took place on the grand sweeping staircase of the Café Royal Hotel. She wore a dress by her close friend, the Indian designer Saloni, an Amishi cuff, earrings from Lotus Arts De Vivre and Christian Louboutin shoes. www.pageonelondon.com

Anju Chulani

Anju Chulani
Higher Calling
Contributing Editor from London for Harper’s Bazaar India, Anju has previously written for publications including Hello! India, Vogue India and L’Officiel India. Anju also appeared as one of the lead roles in a play called ‘Murder On The Menu’, which ran for almost 3 years. Anju moved to Mayfair last year and has been loving her postcode ever since.

Mayfair Haunts
Anju Chulani loves the energy of Mayfair, in her own words, ‘in Mayfair, you just have to walk down any street and you’ll see the most eclectic, interesting people everywhere you go.’ Her favourite place to eat is at the bar in China Tang at The Dorchester, as she says ‘you can’t get bored of that.’ Anju also loves soaking up the incredible exhibitions at Sotheby’s and describes the ice cream there as one of London’s ‘best kept secrets’. For shopping, Anju loves the selection that Bond Street offers for browsing and buying – from the gorgeous window displays to the beautiful people walking by. She visits Hyde Park several times each week and loves soaking up the atmosphere of Mayfair’s side streets en route.
Anju was photographed in the lobby of the Café Royal Hotel with bustling Regent Street just a step beyond the doors behind her. She wore a dress by the designer Ramona, shoes from Christian Louboutin and Adler jewels.

Farzana Baduel

Farzana Baduel
Higher Calling
Farzana Baduel is at the helm of Curzon PR as Founder and Managing Director of the digital and strategic communications company. She describes herself as ‘lucky to have my passion in life coincide with my career, as the great Aristotle said “Where the needs of the world and your talents cross, there lies your vocation”.’

Mayfair Haunts
The Arts Club is one of Farzana’s most frequented spots and her favourite place for client meetings. Outside of work, Farzana is a self-professed tea-lover and enjoys the brews on offer at H.R. Higgins and Postcard Teas. Lola’s Cupcakes are also one of the places that Farzana likes to pop into and she regularly picks up some deliciously decadent treats for her family and for the team at Curzon. When it comes to shopping, shoes are, quite literally, Farzana’s Achilles heel and whether buying or browsing she can’t resist the holy trinity of Christian Louboutin, Prada and Miu Miu stores in Mayfair.
The gorgeously intricate interior of the Pompadour Room framed Farzana Baduel’s photograph. She wears a dress from Emmanuel Ungaro, cuff by Dior and Prada heels.
