OBJECTIVE

Curzon PR was given the task of building awareness of the charity Soham for Kids. Founded by Faiza Seth, Soham is a non-profit organisation providing education and all round care for underprivileged children in an impoverished village just outside of Hyderabad, India. Curzon’s objective was to raise the profile of the charity in its initial phases and thereby attract much-needed donations and establish a board of advisors.

CAMPAIGN

Curzon PR created a board of advisors and a fundraising committee for the charity. A media relations campaign was implemented to build awareness for Soham and attract corporate donations from the CSR sector as well as establish an infrastructure that would support the charity in the long term.

RESULTS

A prestigious board of advisors was created for Soham from the worlds of arts, media, politics and society. A fundraising committee was then created, delivering a luncheon that met its financial targets. Media coverage included The Evening Standard, Glamour Magazine and Director Magazine, with speaker platforms at the Institute of Directors alongside the FT’s Enterprise Correspondent Jonathan Moules. Soham founder Seth was honoured by the Humanitarian Award at the Asian Women of Achievement Awards (Lloyds TSB) and Management Today.
