Farzana Baduel Appointed to Board of Trustees at The HALO Trust

The HALO Trust, the world’s largest humanitarian landmine clearance organisation, is pleased to announce the appointment of Farzana Baduel to its Board of Trustees. Her appointment strengthens HALO’s strategic leadership as it expands its global operations and deepens its impact in some of the world’s most urgent conflict and post-conflict zones.

Founded in 1988, The HALO Trust protects lives and restores communities by clearing landmines, unexploded ordnance, and other deadly debris of war. Operating in over 30 countries and territories and employing more than 9,000 staff, HALO is a cornerstone of humanitarian response and post-conflict recovery.

The organisation is active in some of the most geopolitically sensitive regions in the world today—including Ukraine, Palestinian territories, Afghanistan, Syria, and Somalia—where its work helps pave the way for stabilisation, reconstruction, and long-term peace.

Farzana Baduel, CEO of Curzon PR and President-elect of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), brings expertise at the intersection of strategic communications, international development, and policy advocacy.

“I am honoured to join the Board of Trustees at The HALO Trust, said Farzana Baduel. “HALO’s mission to protect lives and rebuild communities through humanitarian mine action is not only critical but increasingly urgent. As conflict continues to disrupt lives globally, HALO’s work in restoring security and dignity offers a vital path forward. I look forward to contributing to its mission and expanding its global voice.
