Curzon PR celebrates hat trick of new client wins

Boutique communications and public affairs consultancy Curzon PR has expanded its client base in 2013 with a host of new projects in line with its bespoke, cross-sector approach.

Client Wins

Curzon has signed with Ensemble Productions to promote London’s Russian Maslenitsa Festival through strategy and media relations services. Held in Trafalgar Square (16 March 2013), the festival is the largest celebration of art, food, music and culture outside of Russia. Under the auspices of Mayor of London Boris Johnson, it also included partnerships with Mari Vanna, performances by Theatre Praktika at Waterstones Piccadilly and Sadler’s Wells and an annual British-Russian Gala. Coverage included The Times and Condé Nast Traveller and The Singing Grannies, the festival’s ambassadors, on Channel 4 News. Curzon continues to raise the festival’s profile ahead of the Sochi Winter Olympics in 2014 and the upcoming Russia-UK Year of Culture 2014.

Curzon has further expanded its client base to include the SDC, a DFID backed initiative that bridges international investor and local community interests for the empowering of economic investment in the Horn region of Africa through mutually beneficial agreements of co-operation. Curzon is in charge of strategy and media relations, aiming to promote the nation’s positive aspects, including strong natural resources and its unique position in opening up investment into the Horn region.

Curzon has also recently signed on to handle media relations for Liquidity Finance, an investment firm focused on emerging markets. By creating alternative avenues of liquidity in over-the-counter trading products among professional money managers, the firm minimises trading costs and improves the quality and objectiveness of flow information.

New Partnership

In addition to new client wins, Curzon is also excited to announce the start of a new partnership with the Culture Company in Mumbai, India. The two agencies have teamed up to promote the 100 Years of Bollywood centenary and manage Bollywood actress Kajol’s PR along with Culture Company in the UK.

Charity Partner 2013

Finally, each year Curzon PR chooses a charity partner as part of its commitment to corporate social responsibility, providing pro bono strategy, media relations and communications support. Its charity partner for 2013 is CARE Pakistan, the largest educational NGO in Pakistan. Dr Mohammad Jawad, subject of the Oscar-winning documentary, Saving Face, has come on board as the charity’s patron, and recent coverage includes an interview with the charity’s founder, Seema Aziz, on BBC World News.

New Hire

Curzon has welcomed on board as its new Head of Media Relations, Neha Desai. With a background in arts journalism in the UAE, Wallace-Thompson spent five years with Canvas, the premier magazine for art and culture in the Middle East, before relocating to London in 2011. She brings with her extensive experience in emerging markets and Contemporary arts and culture.
